Meredith Thompson
Meredith Thompson worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with the EcoXPT and EcoMOBILE projects. She holds a BA in chemistry from Cornell University, an MA from Tufts University in science and engineering education, and an EdD from Boston University in science education. She is a science educator with over 15 years of experience in education research, program evaluation, and project management. Her doctoral work focused on how near peer teachers influence student satisfaction and learning outcomes in ten large introductory college level science and engineering courses at Boston University. She has also developed programs to encourage students to be interested in science and to build partnerships between K-12 districts and universities. She developed Soundscience Fun!, an interactive presentation on the physics of musical instruments that has been featured on the PBS television show “Curious George” and in the Cambridge Science Festival. She is excited to be part of the EcoXPT team.
